A Word from the Nerd

Every now and then, life smacks me upside the head with a resounding “knuckle-thump”. Like a junkie in need of a heroin fix, these moments give me the itch — to write. So, if you want to, feel free to hang around and read some of my thoughts. My voice can be raw, loud, quiet or contemplative, but it’s here. And please remember: all the original postings are mine, mine, mine. Except for when they’re yours.

Welcome!

Once again I visit your site and find it changed! It’s like going into a familiar store only to find it remodeled. “Where is everything?”

Oh, I forgot to mention..that’s my dog, Herbie, the “other man” in my life. The only other being on this planet that can train me to get my lazy butt off the sofa and give him a treat. I’m a real sucker for brown eyes.

I found you through calliopespen’s blog. You just figured out how to make yourself link-accessable by somesuch dashboard chore. I thought I would see if it worked for you and here I am.

    Nice avatar, btw.

Thank you to all who have been gracious enough to visit my website and leave me a pulse or two of your own! I find myself coming back several times a day — only to see more positive, validating comments left for me. Fun ones, too!

Keep visiting, and I’ll do the same. I am having so much fun reading your work and learning more about you!

PS: You’ll notice I don’t post my “real” name here..that is mostly on purpose. I am a teacher, and sadly, some school districts frown on teachers having an opinion and a life outside of their four classroom walls. While I disagree wholeheartedly at this concept, there is a certain amount of anonymity I feel I need to maintain in order to be able to freely share my opinion on certain issues. Ironic — I found my voice, only to have to censor it on occasion.

Thanks Bill — it just appeared to me. Blink, there it is (ha ha ha!)

I’m sorry! I found the black background and small print to be difficult to read. I thought if I were posting stuff important enough to read, I’d better make it easy to read. Sorry! I do like it now — it seems much more my style. I’m trying to install enough widgets and things to make it easy to navigate. Heck, I even put in a search function.

      Thank you for your patience!
